David Bond, APNP, CNRN

David Bond, APNP, CNRN is an experienced nurse practitioner who works with Dr. Wascher at the NeuroSpine Center of Wisconsin. His training and 15 years of clinical experience make him ideally suited for handling the challenges of a busy neurosurgical practice. As a nurse practitioner, he works closely with Dr. Wascher, assisting with surgeries and keeping abreast of new research and treatments for brain tumors and conditions of the cervical spine. He is active in both the office and hospital setting, freely sharing his clinical skills and expertise. The personalized service provided by David and Dr.Wascher is second to none.

Training

David Bond graduated in 1996 from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. He then chose to pursued a master’s degree in nursing in 2000. While earning his master’s degree, he further advanced his clinical skills by working in the ICU at Appleton Medical Center. Upon graduating, he went on to become a certified neuroscience registered nurse and began his career of caring for patients with brain tumors and complex cervical spine problems. He remains passionate about helping patients with brain tumors improve their quality of life.

Awards & Honors

David Bond has frequently been recognized for his contributions to the field of nursing. He has received the Peggy Spees-Schneider Nursing Award, the Winnebago County Nursing Award, and the Jayme Reetz Award for his clinical skills and contributions to the field. He is an active member of both the Wisconsin Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association as well as the founder of the Fox Valley Brain Tumor Coalition—a nonprofit organization that helps patients with brain tumors by orchestrating support groups and providing financial aid to help pay for the required medical care.

Personal Background

David Bond enjoys an active life with his wife and two daughters in Wisconsin. His interests include music, water-skiing, sports, cars, and construction. He and his family are active in the brain tumor community and have donated hundreds of hours through helping brain tumor patients and their families.
